we fly

2.12.2002

let go
my love
let go, don’t hang on so
let me let you
fly

deeper and deeper
we go on this
spinwheel ride
through time

the ride of a lifetime
i guarantee it
i can feel it
it’s harmonic

can you feel me now?
can you reel me
in
now?

see it now
say it now
take it, break it
leave it all
behind
right here, right
now.
do you follow me
now?

will you follow
me now?

round and around
into the eye of the tornado
where worlds collide
implode, explode
there’s no denying it

it’s all written in
your eyes

you can excite it
or fight it
—you just try to
fight it—
you’ll fail

there is no
stopping it
no end to it

the world as
we know it
will
come
to
an
end

this i know

so why cling so tightly?
i don’t know.

i say
just blow
scatter,
split.
from one place
to another
another
another…

if you want to hang
with me
exchange wits
with me
ride and seek
play
escape
the ashes
the rain
the insanity
with me
you gotta fly

let’s fly

Aurora

9.20.2003

In this mood
I ooze
a mental energy
It is not always
necessary for me
to press
my marble slate
against your
anvil
to feel your
Pulse

Your incessant
pounding
has left a lasting
Imprint
that still shakes
my body
and convolutes
my quivering flesh
Even as we are
redressed
with polite appearances

Every clearance
Every
chance I get
I look for an
escape
back into
that song
that laughter
that harmonic
rage
of Lustful
satisfaction
that glint
in your eye
that drew me in
and kept me
Going
knowing (while
not knowing)
that nothing else
matters

Every bend
that takes a
turn
upon my
nerves
and exposes those
Feelings of
needing and wanting
to know things
for certain—
all
unimportant

Fraction by fraction
your words and
actions
have taken me
apart
and reassembled
my very
core
Each time seeing
things like new
and feeling what
I always would
have wanted to feel
had I known
it
Existed

This time when you
leave
you have already
taken
me
with
you

This time when you
Run
when I
Run
it will not be
to get away
or to
pretend
that nothing really happened
it will be only
to forget (for a moment)
to
let
go
of the feeling of
exploding

To reload
to recharge
so that when
the
fat moon
pushes
its nipplie
image
back into our
nighttime fantasies
we will
return
to drink again
to set ourselves on
fire
again
to cherish
and worship
and nurture each other’s
souls
again
in that place
we have met
before
that place where
words have no
meaning

and only
Breathing

is
Believing
